Description
Size: 6ft 10in x 5ft 5in (207 x 166cm).Antique Khamseh Baharlu tribal rug of classic single medallion design.
Circa 1900/20.
These are one of the less common Khamseh rugs and usually have a single round medallion as per this example. The field design is a variation of the heratti design. The large leaf and palmette design border is of particular note. The overall colour palette is soft and earthy.
The rug is of a very useful almost square size.
The rug is in fair condition with medium wear heavier in places with medium / low pile. The price reflects the wear in the rug.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
