Description
Size: 6ft 7in x 3ft 10in (200 x 116cm).Antique Baluch rug of scarce design from the Ferdows region.
Circa 1900.
The rug has a design of five linked diamond shaped medallions, each medallion contains a Turkmen related gul design. The unusual inner border is unique to the Ferdows Baluch, the main border is of the classic boat design.
The rug is in poor condition with some heavy wear and low pile in places, there is some damage and losses to the sides and ends along with one finger tip size hole. The condition is reflected in the price.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
