Description
Size: 8ft 2in x 3ft 3in (250 x 98cm)Antique Caucasian Moghan Kazak runner with Memling guls within octagons.
Circa 1880.
A worn but still attractive Kazak rug with a single vertical row of 'Memlinc guls', there are some very attractive small animals in the field along with other tribal design elements.
Superb colour and typical Kazak weave.
Poor condition with almost every fault you can think of, heavy wear in places with medium / low pile, losses to sides and ends, reduced in length at the top end.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use, although worn this runner still has some life left in it, ideal for that lived with look where pristine condition is not important.
