Description

Size: 7ft 1in x 3ft 9in (215 x 114cm).
Antique Afghan village long rug of traditional Ersari Turkmen design, the rug is a warm red colour.
Circa 1920.
The rug has four large turreted guls in a row which are framed by multiple borders. The design is in a clear indigo blue. The main border is a chevron bird head design.
The rug is in fair condition with some heavy wear and medium / low pile. The rug retains the original kilims at both ends.
The rug is suitable for heavy domestic use. A good furnishing rug, although it has wear there is plenty of life left in this rug and will give you the instant lived with look.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
